The Currach Irish Pub is a fun place to go and visit. . Also our food is wonderful! We have for our starters- Garlic Bread, Onion Rings, Hot Chips, Kumara Chips, Side Salad, Chilli Beef or Chilli Bean Nachos, and Barrier Seafood Chowder. Our Burger and Chips we have- Innkeeper's, Chicken Burger, Fish Burger, Vegetarian Burger. Most of the burgers come with a salad and all of the buns are made freshly home baked buns and served with steak cut chips.
The Main dishes are Fish and Chips, BBQ Pork Ribs, Rib Eye Steak, Falafel Wrap, and Chef Special or Specials of the Day. Our Salad we have to offer is The Fresh organic spring garden salad. You can add a hand rolled falafel, or you can add free range chicken, that costs a little more extra money. Our desserts we have on our menu are Sticky Toffee Pudding, Death by Chocolate, A trio of Barrier Artisan Ice Cream, Affogato, and Irish Coffee.
You can buy some of our extras which are, extra sauce, aioli or tartar sauce, and Kumara chips upgrade. The traditional Italian Wood Fired Pizza with our own recipe. The thin pizza base that comes topped with homemade tomato base and mozzarella cheese. Gluten free is available with an addition of two dollars more. We have Quattro Formaggio- Parmesan, Feta, Mozzarella, and Brie Cheese. Salmone has Smoked NZ King Salmon, Calamari and Capers. Milano- Milano Salami, Portobello Mushrooms, Olives and Onions. Piccante which has Chorizo, Red Onions, Olives, and a hint of Chilli. Vegetarian- Funghi, Sun Dried tomatoes, Capsicum, Artichokes. And The Hawaiiana which has Chicken, Bacon, and Pineapple. Pizza orders are from the separate outdoor kitchen and may not come at the same time as orders from the Al A La Carte menu.
